A brief history of Alliance Solutions

Alliance Solutions Ltd was founded in 2000 to provide clients with comprehensive IT management, consultancy and network support to enable partial or complete outsourcing of their IT management and support roles.

The company is still run by two of the founding directors Fergus Ramsay and Jez Deacon, who combined have many years’ experience in the IT industry.

The ethos of the company has always been to offer the best levels of support and advice. The majority of our clients have either been with us for a long time or they are a referral from another client and therefore we have a very low churn rate.

Based in Stevenage and covering Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Northamptonshire, Norfolk, Suffolk & London we have an expanding customer base that includes Architects, Civil Engineers, Financial Services, Interior Design, Media & Publishing, Recruitment & Training, Solicitors and Voluntary Services.

Our company has grown alongside its clients many of who have expanded their operations. We have extended the services we offer to meet their and our requirements and this has included cloud/hosted solutions, VoIP phone systems and Mobile phone solutions including EE and O2 airtime contracts.

One of our strengths is that we are one of very few IT support providers that can develop our own system software products. This enables us to quickly adapt and update our in-house developed Server Monitoring application and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

In 2002 Alliance Software division was commissioned to undertake a bespoke software project on a secure platform for a European multinational aerospace and defence corporation. The project has evolved and we have since undertaken a number of other bespoke projects for this client.

The software division has been engaged with other bespoke client projects including an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application for a wholesale contract packing company, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for an independent evidence-based consultancy, a bespoke database report application for a Television Audience Programme Evaluation company and is currently working on a two Microsoft Dynamics CRM customisation projects for a charity and an educational trust.

In 2012 Alliance Document Systems was formed to facilitate the supply and installation of Sharp multi-functional printers, Papercut print management software and M-Files Enterprise Content Management (ECM) document management software.

In 2014 the company achieved the internationally recognised ISO9001 accreditation establishing it as one of the leaders in IT Solutions and Support industry.
